Big news : Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for Covid-19 as the Portuguese Federation said

The Portuguese Federation said in a statement on its website that the tests that were taken on 35-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo had tested positive for COVID-19 but "well, there are no symptoms and he is isolated."

According to the Portuguese Football Association, Juventus and Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

The federation published a statement on its website on Tuesday saying that the 35-year-old had tested positive, but "he is fine, there are no indications of that and that he is isolated."

Ronaldo was with the Portuguese national team as part of their promotion to the League of Nations. Portugal will meet Sweden in a group match in the United Nations League on Wednesday.

Ronaldo was sent home from the tournament. He will lose the match against Sweden.

The rest of the Portuguese team tested negative on Tuesday.

The Portuguese Football Association said in a statement: “After the positive problem, the rest of the players faced new tests on Tuesday morning, all with negative results and are available for training at the Fernando Santos Stadium this afternoon Cidadedo Futebol. 

"The League of Nations qualifiers (against Sweden) will take place on Wednesday at 19:45 in Alvalade.
